New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services The protection and wise management of the state of New Hampshire's environment are the important goals of the N.H. Department of Environmental Services (DES). The department's responsibilities range from ensuring high levels of water quality for water supplies, ecological balance, and recreational benefits, to regulating the emissions of air pollutants, to fostering the proper management of municipal and industrial waste, to managing water resources for future generations. Formed in January 1987 by state statute RSA 21-O, DES was legislatively created through the consolidation and reorganization of four previously separate agencies: the Air Resources Agency, the Office of Waste Management, the Water Supply and Pollution Control Commission, and the Water Resources Board. Each of these groups is now represented within the department's three divisions: Air Resources, Waste Management, and Water. Also, DES has units within the Office of the Commissioner whose roles are to coordinate such activities as agency-wide planning, enforcement, permitting, public information, laboratory services, geologic services, information resources, and financial and personnel management.x NHDES

Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality Welcome to the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality WEB site. On this site you will find a wealth of information about DEQ. If you need Department rules, we have made an effort to ensure the site contains the most up to date set and copies of any rules under public review along with the dates for comment and public hearing
I have long felt that the Department did not do enough outreach to businesses. To remedy that concern, I have organized an outreach group with no regulatory function. They are available to assist you. You can invite them into your operation and, unless they find a situation that poses an imminent public safety problem, they will not share what they see with the regulatory portion of the agency. If you have questions and don't know who to talk to in the agency or if you want to talk to someone about a situation without fear of regulatory implications, please contact the Outreach Group at (307) 777-7937 on the Web Page; or by writing to the Office of Outreach and Environmental Assistance, Herschler Bldg. 4W, 122W. 25th St, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82002.x
